The Australian Government’s $343 million Australian Technical College initiative continues to gather steam, with the Australian Minister for Vocational and Technical Education, the Hon Gary Hardgrave MP, today signing a $23.5 million funding agreement to establish the Australian Technical College – Pilbara in Western Australia.

“Once again Federal and State Labor are gambling with the futures of young Australians by scaring off potential students who may not even try to get into university because they think they have little chance,” the Acting Minister for Education, Science and Training, the Hon Gary Hardgrave MP, said today.

The Australian Minister for Vocational and Technical Education, the Hon Gary Hardgrave MP, today said that the Australian Education Union’s efforts over 2007 would be better directed at the needs of students rather than the political path it spends so much of its time treading.
