Performance Indicators and the Course Performance Report at Queensland University of Technology

INTRODUCTION

This paper describes the Course Performance Report at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), an annual report provided to the University Academic Board and Council by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. The Report provides a comprehensive overview of each of QUT’s courses, using quantitative indicators to measure performance from the point of entry (student demand and enrolment), through to student retention (attrition and completion rates) and subsequent graduate outcomes (course experience data and graduate destinations). The report includes some data relating to the comparative performance of competitor institutions, and also includes an overview of labour market trends.
