PROFESSIONAL AWARDSAustralian-American Educational Foundation (Fulbright) General award Description The Foundation provides one general award for professional development, in any field, in the United States. Preference is given to those with a record of achievement in management or government and who are poised for advancement to a senior management or policy role. Programmes should include an academic component as well as practical experience in the chosen field. The award is for three to four months duration. Sponsored award Description The Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) is sponsoring a Fulbright Vocational Education and Training Award for professionals in the vocational education and training sector. Preference is given to those with a record of achievement and who are poised for advancement to senior levels. The programme should concern current vocational education and training policy or practice and should include an academic component as well as practical exposure in the field. This award is open to staff from both private and public providers and to teachers as well as administrators. The award is for three to four months duration. Benefits The benefits of both the general and sponsored award include a travel entitlement and a monthly stipend for a maximum period of four months. Eligibility Applicants for both awards must be Australian citizens and resident in Australia. Applicants holding United States/Australian dual citizenship are ineligible. Applicants must pass a complete medical examination. Number available One general award is available as well as one privately sponsored vocational education and training award.
