Fulbright Postgraduate Student Award for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples

General information

The award is sponsored by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission. Postgraduate students must spend a minimum of one academic year (eight to 12 months) in the United States, most of which should be at their host institution. The award may be extended but without allowance. The award is for those wishing to:

  • undertake an approved course of study for an American higher degree or its equivalent; or
  • engage in research relevant to an Australian higher degree.

Benefits

Benefits include a travel entitlement, a monthly stipend for a maximum period of 12 months, and an establishment allowance.

Eligibility

Restricted to people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent. Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree.
