Superannuation and Long Service Leave Legislation10.1 Superannuation 10.1.1 In the event that legislative changes are introduced that provide for superannuation choice, the Department will discuss the impact with employees and their representatives prior to implementation. Discussion will include the range of funds to be offered to employees, the intention to provide unlimited choice and any default fund. The Department will provide information and advice to employees on the implications of any legislative change. 10.1.2 The Department does not intend to reduce the remuneration package (i.e. total of salary and employer contributions) available to current employees. 10.2 Long Service Leave 10.2.1 In the event that legislative changes are introduced to Long Service Leave entitlements, the Department will provide information and advice to employees on the implications of any legislative change. 10.2.2 The Department’s intent is that current employees’ existing entitlements not be reduced.
