14.2 Responsibilities
14.2.1 Individual’s Responsibilities
14.2.1.1 Individual employees have the following
responsibilities:
(a) participate fully and constructively in the Performance
Management System;
(b) to meet work expectations detailed in their Agreed Performance
Statement;
(c) participate effectively as a member of a team including
actively sharing/transferring knowledge and skills;
(d) demonstrate DETYA’s organisational behaviours and values; and
(e) to undertake career development activities consistent with
their Career Development Agreement.

14.2.2 Supervisor’s Responsibilities
14.2.2.1 Team Leaders/Managers/Supervisors have the following
responsibilities:
(a) to guide employees in the development of their Agreed
Performance Statement by assisting them to identify expectations;
(b) maintain reasonable expectations of employees consistent with
the requirements of their job and work level standards;
(c) provide regular feedback about performance;
(d) assist employees in their career development; and
(e) when appropriate, participate actively in training programmes
on performance management and effective team building and leadership.

14.2.3 Department’s Responsibilities
14.2.3.1 The Department will:
(a) provide effective training and assistance to
managers/supervisors on aspects of the Performance Management System,
consistent with clause 14.10 of this Agreement, to enable them to
possess the required skills to fulfil their obligations within the
System;
(b) undertake evaluation and monitoring of the Performance
Management System and consult with the Strategic Consultation
Committee (SCC) on outcomes where appropriate; and
(c) provide information and advice on practical implementation of
the Performance Management System.
