The Job Guide is one of the Australian Government's services to help people find out about careers, education and training.

myfutureYou are now leaving the DEST Corporate Site
myfuture.edu.au is a world standard interactive, online career exploration service. It is aimed at all Australians wishing to explore their career options, with a particular emphasis on 16 to 24 year old students. Individuals are able to explore their skills and interests, identify their career ideas, develop their career plan and research options for further study or training. They can access information on industries, small business, courses, training providers, financial support and much more.

The Real GameYou are now leaving the DEST Corporate Site
The Real Game series was developed in Canada and consists of six innovative career education and life skills experiential programmes:

  • The Play Real Game (for 8 to 10 year olds and to be piloted in 2003);

  • The Make It Real Game (for 10 to 12 year olds and successfully piloted in 2001. The programme is expected to be available for purchase from the website in term 4);

  • The Real Game (for 12 to 14 year olds and piloted in 2000. The programme is now available for purchase from the website);

  • The Be Real Game (for 14 to 16 year olds and successfully piloted in 2001. The programme is expected to be available for purchase from the website in term 4);

  • The Get Real Game (for 16 to 18 year olds and to be piloted in 2003); and

  • Real Times, Real Life (over 18 years old and not available for piloting in Australia until 2004).
