What is in this resource?

You will be working on numeracy skills in an area that interests you.

There are nine programs to choose from. Eight programs provide numeracy skills and industry applications for workers and trainees. The General Numeracy program provides skills for everyday use.

To use this resource, you need to be able to:

• read whole numbers

• calculate with whole numbers using the four operations +, - , x and ÷

• know where to use these operations

• recognise common shapes.

If you have difficulties with any of these skills you can:

• get help from your local TAFE college or another numeracy provider
  
  or

• have a go at some of the activities and ask someone to help you
  
  or

• use a calculator when you need to calculate but try to estimate the answer you expect from the calculator.
