In October 2004, the largest international education conference in the Southern Hemisphere will be held in Sydney from the 5th to the 8th. The 18th IDP Australian International Education Conference provides a unique opportunity to engage with some of the key practitioners and decision-makers in international education and development and to explore the issues central to both current and future challenges. The conference also offers an invaluable opportunity to network with colleagues from around the globe.

The Conference theme this year is International Education: The Path to Cultural Understanding and Development.  It is expected to attract more than 1300 delegates from around 50 countries with strong support from government and non-government agencies, the corporate sector, professional and industry groups, multilateral funding agencies and others.  It will feature more than 80 sessions covering diverse areas of interest in international education.
