Registration Information

Registration Forms

Please print and complete all relevant sections. One form should be used for each delegate.

To ensure that you are registered for the Forum, your completed registration form together with payment must be received by the 25th August 2004.

To make your reservation for accommodation at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, your completed accommodation form must be faxed to +61 2 6240 7637, together with your registration form by the 25th August 2004. Participants who would like to stay elsewhere, are responsible for making their own accommodation booking.

Registration Desk

The Forum’s Registration Desk will be located on the conference floor, Level 3, at the Forum venue, Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, 61 - 101 Phillip Street, Sydney

The Registration Desk will be staffed at the following times:

  • Sunday, 10 October 2004 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm
  • Monday, 11 October 2004 from 8.30 am to 6.00pm
  • Tuesday, 12 October 2004 from 8.30 am to 5.00pm

Messages

A message board will be located at the Registration Desk on the conference floor, Level 3.

Please note that messages cannot be personally delivered.

Climate

In October, Sydney usually enjoys a pleasant, mild spring climate. Average daily temperatures range from 10°C up to 25°C.

Dress

Smart casual attire is appropriate for Conference Sessions and the Networking Function.
For the Forum Dinner, lounge suits are appropriate.

Airport Transfers

The Forum venue is located in the city centre, 12 km north of the International Airport and takes approximately 20 minutes to reach by car. A taxi costs approximately AU$30 to Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, the Forum venue.

A regular airport to city bus operates from approximately 6.00am to 9.00pm (not recommended for those with large amounts of luggage). Queries should be directed to the Travellers Information Desk at the Airport.

Airport Link Trains

There is a train station located at both the Domestic and International Terminals at Sydney Airport. Trains run on average every 10 minutes during the day on a weekday and every 15 minutes on weekends. From the Domestic terminal, it takes 10 minutes to reach Central Station and 15 minutes to Circular Quay. From the International Terminal it takes a few minutes longer.
Lifts are available at both the International and Domestic Terminals for the easy transfer of luggage. Fares from the Domestic Terminal to the city start at $10 per adult for a single journey. Taxis

Taxis in Sydney operate under 2 pricing structures. From 6.00am to 10.00pm the standard fare applies. On the left hand side of the taxi meter, above the word ‘rate’ you should see the number 1. From 10pm to 6.00am, a 20% night tariff applies. At these times the meter should be set on rate 2. Please check the meter is set correctly when you begin your journey.

Parking

Residential car parking is available at the Hotel for a fee of AU$30.00 per day. Car parking for delegates is available for AU$26.00 per day during the hours of the event.
