science bilateral (Australia-China) website 
has been developed by DEST to assist Australian researchers collaborate with their Chinese counterparts. The Governments of Australia and China recognise the importance of bilateral scientific collaboration to the research community. The new website aims to enhance links between researchers by providing a range of useful information on funding opportunities, Chinese institutions and current news and events.
The Prime Minister's Prizes for Science are a national tribute to excellent and dedicated work in Australian science and science teaching. Each comprise a cash grant, a medallion and a lapel pin of the nature of those worn by recipients of Australian Honours such as the AO.

The Research Quality Framework is an Australian Government initiative to recognise and reward high quality and high impact research from 2008.
The Systemic Infrastructure Initiative provides funding to upgrade the systemic infrastructure of universities to meet demonstrated needs. Funding is provided for innovative approaches that link or expand access to shared facilities, such as libraries, information and communications technologies, specialised equipment, technical and administrative assistance.
The International Science Linkages programme supports Australian scientists, from both the public and private sectors, to collaborate with international partners on leading edge science and technology in order to contribute to Australia’s economic, social and environmental wellbeing.
