Senate Order on Government Agency Contracts - September 2001

The Murray Motion of 20 June 2001 requires Commonwealth Departments and their agencies to publish a list, available via their Departmental website homepage, which includes the following details relating to each contract entered into by the agency which has not been fully performed or which has been entered into during the previous 12 months, and which provides for a consideration to the value of $100 000 or more:

  • the contractor and the subject matter of each such contract;
  • whether each such contract contains provisions requiring the parties to maintain confidentiality of any of its provisions; or
  • whether any provisions of the contract are regarded by the parties as confidential, and
  • a statement of the reasons for confidentiality; and
  • an estimate of the cost of complying with this order.

Following is a list of all DEST (and its agencies) 2000-2001 active contracts valued at $100,000 or more for the purposes of the Murray Motion September 2001:

The estimated cost of complying with the order is approximately $14,625 for the centralised data compilation area plus costs for line area contributions which cannot be identified because the data was collected as part of the overall data collection for June Senate Estimate responses and the 2000-2001 Annual Report.
