National Bilby Day was launched in 2005 to promote awareness of bilbies and other endangered species and their fight for survival.
The
Australian Vocational Student Prize (AVSP) recognises Year 12 students who demonstrate exceptional skill, commitment and achievement while undertaking an Australian School-based Apprenticeship or a Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools programme. Students are nominated for the prize by their school principal.

National Science Week

aims to encourage young people to get involved in their community, and provides ways through which young people can access the Government and provide input into Government policy and programs. the source also provides a wide range of information to help young Australians make important life decisions.
In May 2006 the Australian Government commissioned the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) to analyse and report on the content, curriculum and standards in Year 12 English (including Literature), Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and Australian History. The
