Steve Waugh presents: Chase your dreams

Chase Your Dreams is an innovative teaching resource which includes an interactive DVD, video, lesson plans and activities.  It is designed for students between 10 and 15 years of age and uses contemporary role models to help them explore their options and their dreams for the future. The resource was distributed, free of charge, to all Australia schools during March 2005.

This project was an original concept of Steve and Lynnette Waugh and was a collaborative effort between Steve and his management company, TEAM-Duet Pty Ltd, and the Australian Government.

In Chase Your Dreams, Steve Waugh, former Australian Cricket  Captain and Australian of the Year 2004, interviews six famous Australian sporting and entertainment stars about the events that have shaped their lives: Pat Rafter, Cathy Freeman, Layne Beachley, John Maclean, Shannon Noll and Michael Clarke.

The resource was developed around the High Five Principles of Career Development:

  • Change is Constant
  • Learning is Ongoing
  • Focus on the Journey
  • Follow Your Heart
  • Access Your Allies.

These principles also underpin The Real Game Series  You are now leaving the DEST website   of career and life skills programs and have been incorporated into a variety of career-related materials and activities around the world.
