Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Australian Higher Education: A National Seminar on Future Arrangements (Skilbeck, M and Connell, H, 2000)
A national seminar on future plans and arrangements for quality assurance and accreditation in Australian higher education was held in Canberra on 9–10 December, 1999. This seminar was sponsored jointly by three agencies: the Commonwealth Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs; the OECD’s Institutional Management in Higher Education (IMHE) programme; and the University of New England’s Centre for Higher Education Management and Policy (CHEMP). The seminar considered several developments over the last decade both within Australia and internationally which have changed perceived requirements for quality assurance in higher education.
