The Fulbright Awards
The Fulbright Exchange Program between Australia and the US began in 1949 under the auspices of the United States Educational Foundation in Australia.
DEEWR along with the American Government provides funding each year to the Australian-American Fulbright Commission (AAFC)
to support the Australian-American Fulbright Awards. The Australian Fulbright Program offers scholarships to Australians wishing to study in the USA and Americans wishing to study in Australia. It is part of an international program of educational exchange which operates between the United States of America and 140 countries world wide.
Applications for scholarships are made directly through the AAFC. Selection of awardees is undertaken by the AAFC along with State/National Selection Committees, Fulbright Alumni and Commission Board members.

Association of Commonwealth Universities
Through the provision of Scholarships and Fellowships, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU)
facilitates staff and students from the Commonwealth studying in the UK through schemes such as the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan and the Marshall Scholarships.

Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation (CFTC) Scholarships in Cyprus
The CTFC Scholarships are available to candidates from Commonwealth countries, to undertake a Post-Graduate Management Diploma Program of eleven months duration through the Mediterranean Institute of Management (MIM) in Cyprus. The MIM is the the international component of the Cyprus Productivity Centre (CPC), a department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance.

Medical Rural Bonded (MRB) Scholarships
As part of the 2000/01 Budget, the Federal Government announced details of a new Regional Health Strategy, which includes an integrated range of initiatives to deliver more doctors and better services to rural and regional communities. Medical Rural Bonded Scholarships
are one of these initiatives.
Neville Bonner Memorial Scholarship
The Neville Bonner Memorial Scholarship
was established in the year 2000 with a $400,000 contribution from the Australian Government and a $30,000 donation from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. The Fund is administered by the Australian National University through its Endowment for Excellence under the Scholarship Advisory Panel.
The Scholarship is for an Indigenous Australian to study Honours at any Australian university in politics or political science or related subjects: government; political geography; political history; political anthropology; political economics.

Primary Pre-service Teacher Awards for Excellence in Science Education
The Australian Government is offering 500 Awards valued at $2000 each to exemplary students who complete in 2007 - as part of their primary, early childhood or middle years teacher education course - one or more science education units incorporating elements of the new Primary Connections: Linking Science with Literacy approach.
State Scholarship Foundation (IKY, Greece)
