The Voluntary Student Unionism Transition Fund for Sporting and Recreational Facilities (VSU Transition Fund) was set up in 2006 to assist universities to adjust to voluntary student unionism, which was brought about by the Higher Education Support Amendment (Abolition of Compulsory Up-front Student Union Fees) Act 2005.
Funding available under the VSU Transition Fund has been fully committed through two funding rounds.
