Funding of Science Lectureships for Universities and Incorporated Bodies
Following the national call for proposals in November 1999, sixty one high quality proposals were received. A Selection Advisory Panel considered the proposals and, given the range of fields of science covered and the quality of proposed projects, advised the Minister that the total funding of $25 million for the Initiative could be allocated immediately, without the need for further funding rounds. The Minister decided to fund twenty eight projects at a total cost of over $25 million over the three years, 2000 - 2002. Details of the projects.
