Atlas of higher education: a community focus [occasional paper series 01A]

This atlas was released to coincide with the Regional Forum held on 28 March 2001.
This data atlas provides universities and their local communities with educational, economic and demographic information about their region that can underpin and facilitate strategies for regional development.


Abstract

This data atlas is designed to be a planning tool to stimulate informed dialogue among local and regional communities and with their higher education institutions. The Statistical Divisions are grouped by State and include information on: demographics;  economic statistics;  employment by industry;  percentage of population with a bachelor degree or vocational qualifications; and DETYA Higher Education Statistics split across four categories: studying in area, on campus;  studying off campus;  moved elsewhere to study; and moved into area to study.
