Educational research: in whose interests? [higher education series (HES) 39]

This paper summarises four studies that the commissioned in 1998–99: Teacher Knowledge in Action, Backtracking, Practice and Policies to Research, Mapping Educational Research and its Impact on Australian Schools, and Education Research in Australia: a Bibliometric Analysis. Together these studies offer an overview of the nature, breadth, quality, responsiveness, and influence of educational research in schools and in the international research community.
