Quality Assurance of Offshore Higher Education

Australia is internationally competitive in providing high quality education and training for overseas students both in Australia and offshore. More than 20% of Australia’s international education is delivered offshore, and this is increasing. The Australian Government has announced two initiatives to assure the continued quality of Australian higher education provision in the international market:

Quality enhancement and the development of good practice models are a key aspect of strengthening the quality framework. The Australian Government has supported providers in the Higher Education and Vocational and Technical Education (VTE) sectors by providing $2.85 million for industry-led projects to develop good practice in quality offshore delivery. The Higher Education project reports have been finalised and are available for download. The VTE projects reports will be made available following completion in September 2006. Further information and completed reports are available here.
