MAMS Workshop: Federated Identity & Access Management for Higher Education
Workshops were held around Australia in March and April 2005. They demonstrated the latest concepts in identity and access management for education, including topics such as single-sign-on, federations and digital rights management. It included live software demonstrations illustrating: secure repositories (using DSpace), Shibboleth in action, authenticated federated search, and multiple authentication methods (name and password, PKI). It also illustrated flexible access control policies (an alternative to traditional digital rights management approaches) using eXentisble Access Control Markup Language (XACML).
