Mapping Australia's Science and Innovation System

Background

In a speech to the Committee for Economic Development of Australia on 20 November 2002, the Prime Minister identified science and technology as a vital area of Government strategic policy interest.  He announced that the Minister for Education, Science and Training, Dr Nelson, was to undertake the major initiative of mapping Australia’s science and innovation activities across the public and private sectors. 

On 28 November 2003 Dr Nelson released the Mapping Australian Science and Innovation report. Both a summary of the report and the full report are available through the following links.
