Regional Protection Scheme (RPS)

About the RPS

The RPS helps to protect designated regional Higher Education Providers (HEPs) from losses of income against their indexed 2001 RTS and IGS combined grants.

The RPS Grant may be used at the HEP’s discretion for any RTS or IGS objective.

Guidelines

The RPS is a programme specified in Chapter 8 of the Other Grants Guidelines (made under section 238-10 of the Higher Education Support Act, 2003).
