Teaching Australia – Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership 
, formerly the National Institute for Quality Teaching and School Leadership (NIQTSL) was established to raise the status, quality and professionalism of teachers and school leaders throughout Australia.
Teaching Australia’s core activities are to support and advance the quality of teaching and school leadership and to strengthen the profession.
The Australian Government is providing $30 million over the five years to 2009 to fund the Institute.
