Investigating the Feasibility of Flexible Funding for Students with Disability

In 2006 the Australian Government committed $5.8 million to investigate funding arrangements for students with disability.

The project is being done in stages.  Monash University was engaged by the Department and has completed work on the first stage.  This included scoping the current environment in Australia and assessment of international models, including consulting with stakeholders across education sectors, collecting and analysing data and development and costing of viable models.

The Australian Government is currently considering the results of the first stage before a decision is made on a possible further stage.

This page will be regularly updated throughout the project to provide information on the status of the project.
