Effective Teaching and Learning Practices for Students with Learning Difficulties in Queensland

Research Report – Four Volumes

Abstract

This project adopted a cross-disciplinary approach to examining actual intervention practice, drawing on theoretical and methodological orientations to literacy and numeracy difficulties and interventions.  The researchers adopted a multi-theoretical approach to data analysis, generating new insights into the nature of what counts as effective teaching and learning practices for students with learning difficulties.  This approach produced four related volumes:

  • Volume 1:        Design, Methodology and Research Findings;
  • Volume 2:        A Literature Review;
  • Volume 3:        Mapping Support Provision; and
  • Volume 4:        Case Studies.

Author(s) Research for this project was undertaken by Griffith University on behalf of The Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts, the Catholic Education Commission of Queensland and the Association of Independent Schools Queensland Inc.
