Report of the National Music Workshop

The National Music Workshop, held on 27-28 August 2006 in Melbourne, was attended by 170 participants from every State and Territory.  A majority were practising teachers of music, school principals and representatives of government and non-government education authorities.


Abstract

The report of the National Music Workshop includes a summary of presentations and panel discussions, Workshop outcomes (Top Line Action Points and Supplementary Action Points), a summary of the recommendations of the National Review of School Music Education, the National Music Workshop programme, a list of the Workshop attendees and copies of the keynote speeches from Senator the Hon. Rod Kemp, Minister for the Arts and Sport, the Hon. Pat Farmer MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education, Science and Training and Professor Margaret Seares AO.
