Major National Research Facilities: The Major National Research Facilities Program provides researchers with access to large-scale, world class research infrastructure.
Anglo-Australian Observatory (AAO):
operates the Anglo-Australian and UK Schmidt telescopes on behalf of the astronomical communities of Australia and the UK. The Observatory is funded equally by the Australian and British Governments. Its function is to provide world-class observing facilities for British and Australian optical astronomers.
Australian Antarctic Division (AAD):
administers Australia's wide-ranging activities in antarctic and subantarctic regions. The AAD manages Australian government activity in Antarctica, provides transport and logistic support, maintains the four permanent Australian research stations, and conducts and manages scientific research programs both on land and in the Southern Ocean.

Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS):
has been established with the intent to be a dynamic, non-profit organisation of research professionals, representing universities, hospitals and medical centres, the business sector, government, CRC's and independent research institutes.
Federation of Australian Scientific and Technological Societies (FASTS):
represents the interests of some 50,000 scientists and technologists throughout Australia. FASTS aims to have a significant influence in the formulation of science and technology policy; and by improving the overall climate for research and development, to bring useful economic, environmental and social benefits to Australia.
Forum for European - Australian Science and Technology cooperation (FEAST):
was established in November 2000. It aims to highlight existing multilateral and bilateral Science and Technology cooperation between Europe and Australia; and improve this cooperation, particularly multilateral cooperation, through identifying priorities and enhancing the quality, quantity and visibility of future action.
Engineers Australia:
is the national peak body for all engineering disciplines.
Euro-Australian Cooperation Centre (EACC)
assists European and Australian companies and research institutions to find partners in each other's countries.
Redcentre:
is in the business of 'networking commercial opportunities' in photonics, optoelectronics, electronics and microtechnologies.
