Boosting Innovation, Science, Technology and Mathematics Teaching
- fosters innovation in schools and works to develop the innovative capacities of students, by promoting high-calibre teaching that engages students.
Cooperative Research Centres
- bring together researchers from universities, CSIRO and other government laboratories, and private industry or public sector agencies, in long-term collaborative arrangements that support research and development, and education activities that achieve real outcomes of national economic and social significance. They are generally known as CRCs.
CSIRO National Flagships Initiative
- integrates, focuses and directs our national scientific resources. The flagships are partnerships of leading Australian scientists, research institutions, commercial companies, CSIRO and selected international groups.
National Innovation Website
- The objective of the National Innovation website is to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of innovation and entrepreneurship for all Australians. This website has been developed , and is maintained, for the National Innovation Council as part of the National Innovation Awareness Strategy by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources, Australian Government.
The Square Kilometre Array
is a new generation radio telescope that will be up to 100 times as sensitive as the best present-day instruments. It will give astronomers remarkable insights into the formation of the early Universe, including the emergence of the first stars, galaxies and other structures. This will shed light on the birth, and eventual death, of the cosmos.
