AQTF 2007 - Maintenance and renewal

All registered training organisations (RTOs) agree to comply with the AQTF 2007 Essential Standards for Registration You are now leaving the DEST website under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and to allow their performance to be monitored and audited.

Sanctions depend on the severity of any non-compliance and the degree of risk to clients. Usually, an RTO is required to develop a strategy for correcting any non-compliance and is given time to implement it. If this does not happen, sanctions can be imposed.

If the RTO intends to cease operations, it must advise the registering body in writing and arrange with it for current students to complete their training and assessment and for records to be transferred to their new training provider.

The RTO must advise the registering body in writing if it has major changes in its operations.

Any significant changes to the conditions of registration are publicly available through the National Training Information Service.

Registration under the AQTF is for up to five years and applies nationally.
To renew its registration, an RTO must apply to its registering body in enough time to be audited before its current registration expires.
