All WELL resources are required to undergo a Quality Assurance (QA) process. The purpose of QA is to ensure that all resources produced fully support their nominated training package(s).
Products that meet the quality assurance requirements are ‘noted’ by the National Training Quality Council (NTQC). These noted training package support materials carry the noted ‘tick’ logo and can be listed on the National Training Information Service (NTIS) website http://www.ntis.gov.au
. Noting on the NTIS provides resources with a significant marketing advantage and national exposure to prospective buyers.
The QA Information Kit is a supporting document and provides information on:
- Quality Assurance requirements to aid the development of training package support materials;
- QA consultants evaluation reporting templates; and
- how to apply to list support materials on the NTIS.
Quality Assurance (QA) Process

The consultant will evaluate the resources against the five NTQC Quality Principles and provide advice on content, methodology, instructional design, the consultation process and trialling of the resource. The consultant will provide ongoing reports to the Co-ordinator, Quality Assurance, DEST for the duration of the project, however the final evaluation report must be submitted by the funding recipient to:
