The following groups may apply for WELL Training grants:
- Enterprises (including Government Business Enterprises);
- Representative Bodies (Industry Training Advisory Bodies, employer organisations and trade unions);
- Local Governments;
- Group Training Organisations (GTOs); and
- Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
The organisation applying for the funding grant should be prepared to co-ordinate project activities and to use approved training providers, as set out in the guidelines. Eligible activities include English language, literacy and numeracy training integrated with workplace training. Employers are expected to contribute at least 25% of training costs (50% for second and third year projects) and provide regular reports.
Applications for WELL Training grants may be submitted at any time during the year.
From time to time, advertisements may be placed in major national newspapers.

The WELL Program is a competitive, grants based funding program. All applications are considered on their merits and funding is not guaranteed.
