This is the second and final communiqué of the National VET Advisory Taskforces and Advisory Alliance. It is intended to inform stakeholders about what has been achieved since their formation, and to outline the new equity advisory arrangements that are currently being established in VET.
The Final Report of the National Indigenous VET Advisory Taskforce
This publication outlines progress on projects and the range of activities undertaken by the National VET Indigenous Advisory Taskforce to assist in improving the access, participation and outcomes of Indigenous people in vocational education, training and employment. These include, for example, an Indigenous research project being undertaken with the NCVER to examine common themes in best practice models which have led to sustainable employment outcomes, and activities such as representing Indigenous equity issues on the National Quality Council.
National VET Disability Advisory Taskforce (NVDAT) Report
This is the final report of the National Disability Advisory Taskforce (NVDAT). It describes the work undertaken by the Taskforce to provide leadership over the past two years to increase participation by people with disabilities in VET, and proposes a new approach to the reform process that NDVAT believes will build on the work that has already been done, and result in the integration of the needs of people with disabilities in all aspects of the VET system.
National VET Equity Advisory Taskforce (NVEAT) Report
This is the final report of the National VET Equity Advisory Taskforce. It outlines the various activities undertaken by the Taskforce during its period of operation (2007-2008) and makes a series of recommendations about how to improve participation and achievement in VET, particularly by disadvantaged groups of students.
