Industry Skills Report: Innovation and Business
This skills report analyses the available data, research and market intelligence about innovation and business skill needs, and identifies national and industry issues and trends to inform training strategies and planning. The coverage of the report aligns with that of the corresponding industry skills council, Innovation and Business Skills Australia.
Abstract
The Innovation and Business Industry Skills Report considers six industry sectors: business services, cultural industries, education, financial services, information and communication technologies (ICT), and printing and graphic arts. The report profiles employment and training (including Training Packages and apprenticeships) within the industry, before examining the effects of four major drivers of industry skill needs. These drivers are participation (including the influence of demographic change), technological change, market pressure and regulatory change. A series of responses to Innovation and Business Industries skill demands are proposed.
The report will inform further development of industry training strategies and VTE planning
